Watch Kelly Clarkson’s incredible Metallica cover in latest Kellyoke segment

Kelly Clarkson has covered Metallica’s Sad But True… and it’s genuinely incredible.

The pop titan tackled The Black Album classic on the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, during the famed Kellyoke segment which has become a huge hit online for the past couple of years, and has seen Kelly show her appreciation for everyone from Bowling For Soup to Billie Eilish.

A YouTube description for this Sad But True cover confirms that, surprisingly, it’s the first time she’s done something by The Four Horsemen: “In an extra special Kellyoke, Kelly Clarkson and My Band Y'all perform their first cover of Metallica on the show, Sad But True.”

But it’s been worth the wait, starting out as a beautifully soft piano ballad before her band come in and crush it. Our only complaint is that it’s just two minutes long… give us a full five-minute rendition, plz?
